Toovey’s & Brighton Festival Fringe
by Matt on May.22, 2009, under Digital PR, General
Toovey’s sale of contemporary art solely consigned by self-representing artists featuring at the Brighton Open Houses and Festival Fringe is drawing ever closer. Commencing on Saturday 30th May 2009 at 6pm. You can join us at the Toovey’s Spring Gardens Sales Rooms in Washington, West Sussex.

In the words of Mr Nicholas Toovey the driving force behind the auction.
“The ethos of these sales has always been to promote the artists in Sussex by creating a new stage for artists to showcase their work. For collectors and patrons, the auction offers an exciting platform for the acquisition of art by established and emerging names. All the artists have been chosen on their individual merits, creating a varied and eclectic fusion of styles. With entries potentially available at more affordable prices than in a gallery, this sale really is a unique opportunity to purchase contemporary works of museum quality.”
Well we will certainly be there to show our support and we hope to see you there too.
iPhone OS 3.0 release imminent
by Martin on May.15, 2009, under General, Mobile Blogging, iPhone
With a little over 3 weeks to go before the final release OS 3.0 - the latest incarnation of the iPhone operating system – is available on general release, just how much can we expect from the update?
Having followed the development of the iPhone OS 3.0 on the O2 network, through our Apple Developer account, I can say that Ive been fairly impressed with both the increase in features and the stability of the Beata releases so far.
The “expiration” of the betas has been an annoyance as a stable beta is, generally speaking, just as usable as the finished article. With the upgrade process at an average of 3 hours (if you include a backup after the restore) could have been avoided on a biweekly basis as this has been a bind in terms of business hours required. Over all, however, the new features seem well integrated, stable and bring to the table many of the elements that iPhone users have felt should have been present from the outset.
Its truly amazing what a software update can do in terms of new functionality on the iPhone, as the hardware is more than capable of supporting all the features and functionality you’d expect from a 3rd generation smartphone. Why some of these features were left out we can only wonder at.
The entire list of features is not yet known, and is unlikely to be general knowledge until the final version is publicly available. The betas that have been released over the past few months have illustrated just how much more the iPhone can pack in and, indeed, just how much more there could be still to come.
Keep an eye out on 8th June for the final release and you’ll soon be enjoying MMS, Spotlight Search, Cut ‘n Paste, full Bluetooth support and Notes Sync to name just a few!
2M Mediaworks website launch
by Martin on May.06, 2009, under General, New Website, Web Design, Web Development
So, we planted the seeds for our new design some time ago and, after several months of nurturing, our new website has now grown into a fully fledged online brochure that is capable of showcasing our work, skills and services in such style that even the Chelsea Flower Show would be proud to show off…. We certainly are!

The design is intended to reflect the organic nature of the work we do, whilst remaining true to our techinical roots. The website was developed with accessability and poratability in mind, ensuring that it can reach the widest possible audience.
Regular news updates, case studies, tie-ins to our blog and Twitter updates should provide a wealth of original online discussion to interest and inspire, keeping you coming back to check on our progress as we continue to grow and push past the edges of our boundaries.
With more ideas still to come, including a dedicated iPhone portal, secure client support centre and an online discussion forum for new development projects, we hope that you will stay with us for the journey and enjoy the ride…!
